Plainview-Elgin-Millville Bulldogs (Elgin, MN) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Pine Island Panthers (Pine Island, MN), 66-49 in a league bout.

With the win, Plainview-Elgin-Millville upgrades its record to 15-10 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Chatfield (Chatfield, MN) to clash with the Gophers in a AA Section 1 bout on Thursday, February 8. The Gophers go into the bout with a record of 13-11. Chatfield won 52-50 in their recent league bout against Dover-Eyota (Eyota, MN)

Next up, the Panthers clash with the Lake City Tigers (Lake City, MN) in a AA Section 1 bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Pine Island will attempt to upgrade on its 8-14 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 11-14 record after their 63-17 league win over St. Charles (St. Charles, MN).
