The Silver Fighting Colts basketball team scored 50 points and restricted the visiting Santa Teresa Desert Warriors to 23 in the Fighting Colts league victory on Monday.

The Fighting Colts now sport a 13-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Deming for a 4A District 3 contest on Thursday, February 8. Silver will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 59-42 league win over Chaparral (Chaparral, NM). The Wildcats record now stands at 9-10.

The Desert Warriors (3-15) will now prepare for their contest against Chaparral (Chaparral, NM). The Lobos come into the 4A District 3 contest with a 7-12 record. In their last contest, Chaparral was routed by Deming (Deming, NM), 59-42, in a league contest.
