West Anchorage Eagles (Anchorage, AK) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting South Anchorage Wolverines (Anchorage, AK), 48-46 in a league bout.

With the victory, West Anchorage upgrades its record to 4-8 on the campaign. The Eagles host Bartlett (Anchorage, AK) to play the Golden Bears in a 4A Cook Inlet bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Golden Bears come into the bout with a record of 8-5. Bartlett won 54-50 in their recent league bout against Service (Anchorage, AK)

Next up, the Wolverines play the Chugiak Mustangs (Chugiak, AK) in a 4A Cook Inlet bout, on Tuesday, February 6. South Anchorage will attempt to upgrade on its 8-8 season record. The Mustangs come into the bout with a 6-6 record after their 51-40 league win over Bettye Davis East Anchorage (Anchorage, AK).
