JV Opponent (, ) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Valley Thunder Homeschool Thunder (Front Royal, VA), 54-37 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, JV Opponent upgrades its record to 202-495 on the campaign. The travel to Christ Prep Academy (Lenexa, KS) to play the Patriots in a bout on Monday, February 5. The Patriots come into the bout with a record of 9-7. Christ Prep Academy won 44-29 in their recent non-league bout against Jefferson West (Meriden, KS)

Next up, the Thunder play the Eukarya Christian Academy Lions (Stephens City, VA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 8. Valley Thunder Homeschool will attempt to upgrade on its 14-9 season record. The Lions come into the bout with a 0-1 record after their 41-20 non-league loss to Grace Christian (Staunton, VA).
