In Wednesday's league contest, the host Gardena Panthers basketball team scored a good 51-41 triumph over the Banning Pilots.

The Panthers (14-12) will now prepare for their contest against Rancho Dominguez (Long Beach, CA). The Lobos go into the Marine contest with a 9-14 record. In their last contest, Rancho Dominguez topped Narbonne (Harbor City, CA), 63-55, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Pilots battle the San Pedro Pirates (San Pedro, CA) in a Marine contest, on Friday, February 7. Banning will attempt to better on its 10-16 season record. The Pirates enter the battle with a 16-9 record after their 69-57 league win over Carson (Carson, CA).
