The Northwest Area Rangers basketball team scored 64 points and limited the visiting Benton Tigers to 32 in the Rangers league triumph on Wednesday.

The Rangers now have a 17-3 record. They play next when they host Sullivan County for a Midd-Penn game on Saturday, February 8. Northwest Area will confront a Griffins team coming off a 56-36 league win over Millville (Millville, PA). The Griffins record now stands at 11-9.

With the loss, Benton falls to 0-14 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Columbia Montour Vo-Tech (Bloomsburg, PA) to confront the Rams in a Midd-Penn game on Saturday, February 8. The Rams go into the game with a record of 3-17. Columbia Montour Vo-Tech lost 54-43 in their recent non-league game against Shenandoah Valley (Shenandoah, PA)
