The Bertie Falcons basketball team scored 72 points and limited the host North East Carolina Prep Husky to 49 in the Falcons league triumph on Wednesday.
The Falcons now possess a 9-9 record. They play next when they host Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech for a non-league game on Friday, February 7. Bertie will confront a Griffins team coming off a 48-40 non-league win over Albemarle School (Elizabeth City, NC). The Griffins record now stands at 1-15.
With the loss, North East Carolina Prep falls to 12-9 on the campaign. The Husky travel to Martin County (Williamston, NC) to confront the Gators in a 1A/2A Four Rivers game on Friday, February 7. The Gators go into the game with a record of 13-4. Martin County won 53-52 in their recent league game against Washington County (Plymouth, NC)
