The Buena Chiefs (Buena, NJ) basketball edged the visiting Cape May County Tech Hawks (Cape May Court House, NJ), 45-43 in Wednesday's league bout.

The Chiefs now possess a 8-11 record. They play next when they travel to Maple Shade for a non-league bout on Friday, February 7. Buena will play a Wildcats team coming off a 55-43 non-league loss to Moorestown Friends (Moorestown, NJ). The Wildcats record now stands at 4-12.

With the loss, Cape May County Tech falls to 1-18 on the campaign. The Hawks host Cedar Creek (Egg Harbor City, NJ) to play the Pirates in a non-league bout on Friday, February 7. The Pirates go into the bout with a record of 7-9. Cedar Creek won 52-47 in their recent non-league bout against Egg Harbor Township (Egg Harbor Township, NJ)
