In Wednesday's league contest, the host West Point Pointers basketball team scored a good 47-39 triumph over the Charles City Panthers.

The Pointers (6-13) will now prepare for their contest against Gloucester (Gloucester, VA). The Dukes go into the non-league battle with a 2-17 record. In their last battle, Gloucester was outscored by Hampton (Hampton, VA), 61-24, in a league battle.

The Panthers now own a 3-16 record. They put it on the line next when they host King & Queen Central for a Tidewater battle on Monday, February 10. Charles City will meet a Royal Tigers squad coming off a 86-48 league loss to Mathews (Mathews, VA). The Royal Tigers record now stands at 7-10.
