Virginia High School Basketball - Indian River knocks off Grassfield

The crowd at Wednesday's league challenge between the Indian River Braves (Chesapeake, VA) and the visiting Grassfield Grizzlies (Chesapeake, VA), observed Indian River's basketball team overcome Grassfield by a margin of 69-61.
The Braves (12-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Deep Creek (Chesapeake, VA). The Hornets come into the Southeastern challenge with a 4-14 record. In their last challenge, Deep Creek dropped by Nansemond River (Suffolk, VA), 73-44, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Grizzlies battle the Western Branch Bruins (Chesapeake, VA) in a Southeastern challenge, on Friday, February 7. Grassfield will attempt to better on its 6-10 season record. The Bruins come into the challenge with a 8-8 record after their 66-52 non-league win over Deep Run (Glen Allen, VA).
