    West Side Pirates (Dayton, ID) supporters left the game happy Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host Malad Dragons (Malad, ID), 75-54 in a league match.

    With the victory, West Side advances its record to 13-5 on the year. The Pirates travel to Aberdeen (Aberdeen, ID) to meet the Tigers in a 3A South East Idaho match on Friday, February 7. The Tigers enter the match with a record of 3-16. Aberdeen lost 55-39 in their recent league match against Declo (Declo, ID)

    The Dragons now own a 6-13 record. They put it on the line next when they host Soda Springs for a 3A South East Idaho match on Friday, February 7. Malad will meet a Cardinals squad coming off a 51-48 league win over Wendell (Wendell, ID). The Cardinals record now stands at 10-9.
