The crowd at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the West Aurora Blackhawks (Aurora, IL) and the host Elgin Maroons (Elgin, IL), observed West Aurora's basketball team overcome Elgin by a margin of 51-33.

The Blackhawks (15-1) will now prepare for their challenge against DeKalb (DeKalb, IL). The Barbs come into the non-league challenge with a 2-1 record.

In their next game, the Maroons battle the Larkin Royals (Elgin, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, February 6. Elgin will attempt to better on its 5-16 season record. The Royals come into the challenge with a 3-5 record after their 39-37 non-league win over Streamwood (Streamwood, IL).
