Bertie Falcons (Windsor, NC) boosters left the game satisfied Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host North East Carolina Prep Husky (Tarboro, NC), 49-10 in a league match.
With the victory, Bertie upgrades its record to 4-15 on the year. The Falcons host Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech (Elizabeth City, NC) to face the Griffins in a non-league match on Friday, February 7. The Griffins enter the match with a record of 2-13. Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech lost 43-31 in their recent non-league match against Albemarle School (Elizabeth City, NC)
The Husky now sport a 0-21 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Martin County for a 1A/2A Four Rivers match on Friday, February 7. North East Carolina Prep will face a Gators squad coming off a 71-50 league win over Washington County (Plymouth, NC). The Gators record now stands at 12-7.
