Virginia High School Basketball - Holly Grove Christian knocks off Chincoteague

In Wednesday's non-league contest, the visiting Holly Grove Christian Eagles basketball team scored a good 39-23 win over the Chincoteague Ponies.
The Eagles (10-4) will now prepare for their contest against Greenwood Mennonite (Greenwood, DE). The Flames come into the Delaware Valley Christian contest with a 12-3 record. In their last contest, Greenwood Mennonite defeated Seaside Christian Academy (Ocean City, MD), 46-35, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Ponies battle the Arcadia Firebirds (Oak Hall, VA) in a Eastern Shore contest, on Thursday, February 6. Chincoteague will attempt to better on its 1-8 season record. The Firebirds come into the contest with a 9-5 record after their 46-37 league win over Nandua (Onley, VA).
