In Wednesday's league contest, the host Granby Comets basketball team scored a big 75-47 win over the Maury Commodores.
The Comets (13-4) will now prepare for their contest against Manor (Portsmouth, VA). The Mustangs come into the Eastern contest with a 15-1 record. In their last contest, Manor smashed Norview (Norfolk, VA), 94-27, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Commodores battle the Lake Taylor Titans (Norfolk, VA) in a Eastern contest, on Friday, February 7. Maury will attempt to better on its 14-3 season record. The Titans come into the contest with a 8-3 record after their 78-14 league win over Booker T. Washington (Norfolk, VA).
