The crowd at Wednesday's league challenge between the Heide Trask Titans (Rocky Point, NC) and the visiting Pender Patriots (Burgaw, NC), observed Heide Trask's basketball team edge Pender by a score of 24-21.

The Titans (8-12) will now prepare for their challenge against South Columbus (Tabor City, NC). The Stallions come into the 1A/2A Waccamaw challenge with a 5-14 record. In their last challenge, South Columbus was tipped by East Bladen (Elizabethtown, NC), 61-9, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Patriots encounter the Whiteville Wolfpack (Whiteville, NC) in a 1A/2A Waccamaw challenge, on Friday, February 7. Pender will attempt to improve on its 3-9 season record. The Wolfpack come into the challenge with a 5-12 record after their 53-39 league loss to East Columbus (Lake Waccamaw, NC).
