West Virginia High School Basketball - Lincoln trounced by Lewis County

The Lincoln Cougars basketball squad (Shinnston, WV), was crushed 70-26 in Wednesday's league battle with the host Lewis County Minutemen (Weston, WV)

With the victory, Lewis County advances its record to 8-6 on the year. The Minutemen host Charleston Catholic (Charleston, WV) to meet the Irish in a non-league battle on Saturday, February 8. The Irish enter the battle with a record of 11-3. Charleston Catholic won 42-25 in their recent league battle against Roane County (Spencer, WV)

The Cougars now own a 4-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Preston for a Big Ten battle on Friday, February 7. Lincoln will meet a Knights squad coming off a 79-40 league win over Liberty (Clarksburg, WV). The Knights record now stands at 6-8.
