Providence Grove Patriots (Franklinville, NC) supporters left the game satisfied Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting Southern Alamance Patriots (Graham, NC), 43-27 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Providence Grove advances its record to 13-6 on the year. The Patriots travel to Randleman (Randleman, NC) to face the Tigers in a 1A/2A Piedmont match on Friday, February 7. The Tigers enter the match with a record of 12-8. Randleman lost 48-41 in their recent league match against Uwharrie Charter Academy (Asheboro, NC)

The Patriots now own a 2-18 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Orange for a 3A Central match on Friday, February 7. Southern Alamance will face a Panthers squad coming off a 61-39 league win over Person (Roxboro, NC). The Panthers record now stands at 13-8.
