The Atwater Falcons basketball team scored 49 points and limited the host Golden Valley Cougars to 38 in the Falcons league triumph on Wednesday.

The Falcons now possess a 10-2 record. They play next when they host El Capitan for a game on Friday, February 7. Atwater will play a Gauchos team coming off a 56-37 league win over Buhach Colony (Atwater, CA). The Gauchos record now stands at 18-5.

With the loss, Golden Valley falls to 11-14 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Los Banos (Los Banos, CA) to play the Tigers in a game on Friday, February 7. The Tigers go into the game with a record of 5-4. Los Banos lost 53-50 in their recent league game against El Capitan (Merced, CA)
