George Wythe Maroons (Wytheville, VA) followers were in high spirits Wednesday as they saw their basketball team crush the host Grayson County Blue Devils (Independence, VA), 66-17 in a non-league bout.

The Maroons now possess a 13-0 record. They play next when they travel to Auburn for a non-league bout on Friday, February 7. George Wythe will play a Eagles team coming off a 68-30 non-league win over Narrows (Narrows, VA). The Eagles record now stands at 12-5.

With the loss, Grayson County falls to 0-13 on the campaign. The Blue devils travel to Galax (Galax, VA) to play the Maroon Tide in a non-league bout on Friday, February 7. The Maroon Tide go into the bout with a record of 1-8. Galax lost 54-41 in their recent non-league bout against Fort Chiswell (Max Meadows, VA)
