Illinois High School Basketball - Eastland routs Morrison

February 5, 2026: Morrison, IL 61270

In Thursday's league match, the visiting Eastland Cougars basketball squad scored a decisive 65-35 victory over the Morrison Mustangs.

With the victory, Eastland upgrades its record to 20-3 on the year. The Cougars host Fulton (Fulton, IL) to face the Steamers in a Northwest Upstate Illini - South match on Monday, February 9. The Steamers enter the match with a record of 11-15. Fulton lost 66-32 in their recent non-league match against Galena (Galena, IL)

The Mustangs now sport a 11-14 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mercer County for a non-league match on Tuesday, February 10. Morrison will face a Golden Eagles team coming off a 55-50 non-league loss to Camp Point Central (Camp Point, IL). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 11-14.
