Merrill Bluejays (Merrill, WI) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Antigo Red Robins (Antigo, WI), 72-58 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Merrill upgrades its record to 7-10 on the season. The Bluejays travel to Stevens Point (Stevens Point, WI) to play the Panthers in a Wisconsin Valley bout on Thursday, February 9. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 8-10. Stevens Point lost 55-41 in their recent non-league bout against Kimberly (Kimberly, WI)

Next up, the Red Robins play the Tomahawk Hatchets (Tomahawk, WI) in a Great Northern bout, on Friday, February 10. Antigo will attempt to upgrade on its 2-17 season record. The Hatchets go into the bout with a 3-14 record after their 71-30 league loss to Lakeland (Minocqua, WI).
