Bishop Stang Spartans (North Dartmouth, MA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Westport Wildcats (Westport, MA), 68-60 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Bishop Stang upgrades its record to 7-7 on the season. The Spartans travel to Old Rochester Regional (Mattapoisett, MA) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Friday, February 10. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 12-3. Old Rochester Regional won 77-60 in their recent league bout against Somerset Berkley Regional (Somerset, MA)

Next up, the Wildcats play the West Bridgewater Wildcats (West Bridgewater, MA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, February 8. Westport will attempt to upgrade on its 9-4 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 11-3 record after their 50-48 non-league win over Blue Hills RVT (Canton, MA).
