Honey Grove Warriors (Honey Grove, TX) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Bland Tigers (Merit, TX), 54-38 in a league bout.

With the victory, Honey Grove upgrades its record to 18-9 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Sam Rayburn (Ivanhoe, TX) to play the Rebels in a 2A Region II District 14 bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Rebels come into the bout with a record of 22-6. Sam Rayburn won 58-37 in their recent league bout against Trenton (Trenton, TX)

Next up, the Tigers play the Whitewright Tigers (Whitewright, TX) in a 2A Region II District 14 bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Bland will attempt to upgrade on its 12-20 season record. The Tigers come into the bout with a 3-22 record after their 61-23 league loss to Wolfe City (Wolfe City, TX).
