George Stevens Academy Eagles (Blue Hill, ME) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Calais Blue Devils (Calais, ME), 50-46 in a league bout.

With the victory, George Stevens Academy upgrades its record to 12-4 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Bucksport (Bucksport, ME) to play the Golden Bucks in a non-league bout on Wednesday, February 8. The Golden Bucks come into the bout with a record of 5-10. Bucksport lost 83-44 in their recent league bout against Old Town (Old Town, ME)

Next up, the Blue Devils play the Washington Academy Raiders (East Machias, ME) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, February 8. Calais will attempt to upgrade on its 14-3 season record. The Raiders come into the bout with a 8-10 record after their 51-41 league loss to Caribou (Caribou, ME).
