The Phoenix Firebirds basketball team scored 59 points and restricted the visiting Canastota Red Raiders to 41 in the Firebirds non-league victory on Monday.
The Firebirds now sport a 7-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Homer for a Section 3 Onondaga - Liberty American contest on Tuesday, February 7. Phoenix will battle a Trojans team coming off a 63-54 non-league win over Skaneateles (Skaneateles, NY). The Trojans record now stands at 4-9.
The Red Raiders (2-16) will now prepare for their contest against Mexico (Mexico, NY). The Tigers come into the non-league contest with a 3-11 record.
