Grainger Grizzlies (Rutledge, TN) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Cosby Eagles (Cosby, TN), 62-52 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Grainger upgrades its record to 12-11 on the campaign. The Grizzlies travel to Cherokee (Rogersville, TN) to play the Chiefs in a 3A District 2 bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Chiefs come into the bout with a record of 8-13. Cherokee won 68-45 in their recent non-league bout against Washburn (Washburn, TN)

Next up, the Eagles play the Washburn Pirates (Washburn, TN) in a 1A District 2 bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Cosby will attempt to upgrade on its 12-13 season record. The Pirates come into the bout with a 7-15 record after their 68-45 non-league loss to Cherokee (Rogersville, TN).
