The Westmoreland Eagles topped the visiting Franklin Classical School Knights basketball team by a final score of 70-53 in Monday's non-league game.
In their next game, the Eagles face the Cannon County Lions (Woodbury, TN) in a 2A District 6 game, on Friday, February 10. Westmoreland will attempt to move on its 20-7 season record. The Lions enter the game with a 11-10 record after their 77-64 non-league win over Meigs County (Decatur, TN).
With the defeat, Franklin Classical School moves to 15-10 on the year. The Knights travel to Mt. Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, TN) to face the Tigers in a non-league game on Tuesday, February 7. The Tigers enter the game with a record of 13-12. Mt. Pleasant won 68-52 in their recent non-league game against Wayne County (Waynesboro, TN)
