Hughes Lions (Clifton, TN) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Hampshire Hawks (Hampshire, TN), 65-21 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Hughes upgrades its record to 20-5 on the season. The Lions travel to Riverside (Decaturville, TN) to play the Panthers in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 9. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 11-13. Riverside lost 86-65 in their recent league bout against Bolivar Central (Bolivar, TN)

Next up, the Hawks play the Wayne County Wildcats (Waynesboro, TN) in a 1A District 10 bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Hampshire will attempt to upgrade on its 0-20 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 11-11 record after their 68-52 non-league loss to Mt. Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, TN).
