Hathaway Hornets (Jennings, LA) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Plainview Hornets (Glenmora, LA), 90-78 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Hathaway upgrades its record to 8-16 on the campaign. The Hornets host Episcopal of Acadiana (Cade, LA) to play the Falcons in a B District 6 bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Falcons come into the bout with a record of 13-14. Episcopal of Acadiana lost 59-36 in their recent league bout against Bell City (Bell City, LA)

Next up, the Hornets play the Fairview Panthers (Grant, LA) in a C District 5 bout, on Friday, February 10. Plainview will attempt to upgrade on its 9-12 season record. The Panthers come into the bout with a 29-5 record after their 73-53 league win over Reeves (Reeves, LA).
