The Poolville Monarchs (Poolville, TX) basketball crushed the host Hico Tigers (Hico, TX), 67-25 in Monday's league test.

The Monarchs (19-13) will now prepare for their test against Ranger (Ranger, TX). The Bulldogs go into the 2A Region II District 11 test with a 2-14 record. In their last test, Ranger was trounced by De Leon (De Leon, TX), 79-23, in a league test.

The Tigers now own a 3-24 record. They play next when they host Santo for a 2A Region II District 11 test on Tuesday, February 7. Hico will encounter a Wildcats squad coming off a 117-21 league loss to Lipan (Lipan, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 4-21.
