Wisdom Pioneers (St. Agatha, ME) boosters left the game satisfied Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the host Madawaska Owls (Madawaska, ME), 69-64 in a non-league test.

The Pioneers (9-7) will now prepare for their test against Washburn (Washburn, ME). The Beavers go into the D North test with a 2-15 record. In their last test, Washburn got by East Grand (Dansforth, ME), 35-26, in a non-league test.

The Owls now own a 9-8 record. They play next when they travel to Ashland for a non-league test on Wednesday, February 8. Madawaska will encounter a Hornets squad coming off a 79-36 league loss to Katahdin (Sherman Station, ME). The Hornets record now stands at 5-12.
