North Country Union Falcons (Newport, VT) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Mt. Abraham Eagles (Bristol, VT), 54-42 in a non-league bout.

With the win, North Country Union upgrades its record to 13-2 on the season. The Falcons host Milton (Milton, VT) to clash with the Yellowjackets in a Lake bout on Wednesday, February 8. The Yellowjackets go into the bout with a record of 4-11.

Next up, the Eagles clash with the Vergennes Commodores (Vergennes, VT) in a Lake bout, on Wednesday, February 8. Mt. Abraham will attempt to upgrade on its 5-11 season record. The Commodores go into the bout with a 10-4 record after their 56-52 non-league win over Enosburg Falls (Enosburg Falls, VT).
