The Saltillo Lions topped the visiting Yantis Owls basketball team by a final score of 74-56 in Monday's league game.

In their next game, the Lions face the Avinger Indians (Avinger, TX) in a 1A Region III District 24 game, on Tuesday, February 7. Saltillo will attempt to advance on its 22-8 season record. The Indians go into the outing with a 9-19 record after their 62-58 league loss to Sulphur Bluff (Sulphur Bluff, TX).

The Owls now own a 11-9 record. They play next when they host Avery for a 1A Region III District 24 outing on Friday, February 10.
