In Monday's league match, the host John Battle Trojans basketball team scored a good 58-45 triumph over the Abingdon Falcons.
In their next game, the Trojans face the Central Wise Warriors (Norton, VA) in a Mountain match, on Friday, February 10. John Battle will attempt to move on its 9-12 season record. The Warriors enter the match with a 18-4 record after their 57-34 non-league win over Honaker (Honaker, VA).
With the defeat, Abingdon moves to 4-17 on the year. The Falcons travel to Ridgeview (Clintwood, VA) to face the Wolfpack in a Mountain match on Friday, February 10. The Wolfpack enter the match with a record of 15-5. Ridgeview won 42-40 in their recent league match against Union (Appalachia, VA)
