Avonworth Antelopes (Pittsburgh, PA) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting East Allegheny Wild Cats (North Versailles, PA), 57-23 in a league bout.

With the victory, Avonworth upgrades its record to 13-5 on the campaign. The Antelopes travel to Seton LaSalle (Pittsburgh, PA) to play the Rebels in a WPIAL 3A 2 bout on Thursday, February 9. The Rebels come into the bout with a record of 12-7.

Next up, the Wild Cats play the Keystone Oaks Golden Eagles (Pittsburgh, PA) in a WPIAL 3A 2 bout, on Thursday, February 9. East Allegheny will attempt to upgrade on its 2-14 season record. The Golden Eagles come into the bout with a 14-5 record after their 75-36 league win over South Allegheny (McKeesport, PA).
