Bad Axe Hatchets (Bad Axe, MI) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Caro Tigers (Caro, MI), 43-32 in a league bout.

With the win, Bad Axe upgrades its record to 11-4 on the season. The Hatchets host Almont (Almont, MI) to play the Raiders in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Raiders go into the bout with a record of 9-9. Almont lost 37-27 in their recent league bout against Armada (Armada, MI)

Next up, the Tigers play the Unionville-Sebewaing Patriots (Sebewaing, MI) in a Greater Thumb - West bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Caro will attempt to upgrade on its 13-2 season record. The Patriots go into the bout with a 3-14 record after their 51-9 league loss to Cass City (Cass City, MI).
