In Monday's league outing, the Canton Golden Bears (Canton, NY) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Salmon River Shamrocks (Fort Covington, NY), by a margin of 59-19.

The Golden Bears (12-6) will now prepare for their outing against Massena (Massena, NY). The Red Raiders go into the Section 10 Central outing with a 9-7 record. In their last outing, Massena smashed Ogdensburg Free Academy (Ogdensburg, NY), 64-55, in a league outing.

The Shamrocks now own a 5-12 record. They play next when they host Gouverneur for a Section 10 Central outing on Thursday, February 9. Salmon River will clash with a Wildcats squad coming off a 66-19 league win over Potsdam (Potsdam, NY). The Wildcats record now stands at 16-1.
