Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North Lions (Laurel, MD) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South (Upper Marlboro, MD), 49-39 in a league bout.

With the win, Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North upgrades its record to 8-5 on the season. The Lions travel to Southern Maryland Christian Academy (White Plains, MD) to clash with the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Friday, February 10. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 10-7. Southern Maryland Christian Academy won 38-35 in their recent league bout against King's Christian Academy (Callaway, MD)

Next up, the clash with the Bowie Bulldogs (Bowie, MD) in a Prince George's County 4A bout, on Thursday, February 9. Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South will attempt to upgrade on its 10-3 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 13-5 record after their 52-37 league loss to Flowers (Springdale, MD).
