Lancaster Tigers (Lancaster, TX) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Corsicana Tigers (Corsicana, TX), 47-40 in a league bout.

With the victory, Lancaster upgrades its record to 9-14 on the campaign. The Tigers host Forney (Forney, TX) to play the Jackrabbits in a 5A Region II District 14 bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Jackrabbits come into the bout with a record of 15-18. Forney won 47-40 in their recent league bout against Corsicana (Corsicana, TX)

Next up, the Tigers play the Terrell Tigers (Terrell, TX) in a 5A Region II District 14 bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Corsicana will attempt to upgrade on its 14-19 season record. The Tigers come into the bout with a 18-16 record after their 66-31 league win over Ennis (Ennis, TX).
