The Ellis (Pittsburgh, PA) basketball nipped the host Springdale Dynamos (Springdale, PA), 30-23 in Monday's league test.

The (6-12) will now prepare for their test against Serra Catholic (McKeesport, PA). The Eagles go into the WPIAL 2A 3 test with a 15-2 record. In their last test, Serra Catholic got by Winchester Thurston (Pittsburgh, PA), 33-30, in a league test.

The Dynamos now own a 4-13 record. They play next when they host Riverview for a non-league test on Tuesday, February 7. Springdale will encounter a Raiders squad coming off a 58-27 league win over Jeannette (Jeannette, PA). The Raiders record now stands at 10-8.
