Texas High School Basketball - Franklin can't hold off Teague

The Franklin Lions basketball team (Franklin, TX), was nudged 51-49 in Monday's league battle with the visiting Teague Lions (Teague, TX)

The Lions now possess a 15-16 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Elkhart for a 3A Region III District 20 battle on Tuesday, February 7. Teague will battle a Elks team coming off a 77-13 league loss to Fairfield (Fairfield, TX). The Elks record now stands at 10-16.

The Lions (17-7) will now prepare for their battle against Groesbeck (Groesbeck, TX). The Goats come into the 3A Region III District 20 battle with a 5-28 record. In their last battle, Groesbeck was nudged by Buffalo (Buffalo, TX), 39-34, in a league battle.
