Staunton Storm (Staunton, VA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Harrisonburg Blue Streaks (Harrisonburg, VA), 39-31 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Staunton upgrades its record to 4-15 on the season. The Storm travel to Buffalo Gap (Swoope, VA) to play the Bison in a Shenandoah bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Bison go into the bout with a record of 13-8. Buffalo Gap won 81-38 in their recent league bout against Waynesboro (Waynesboro, VA)

Next up, the Blue Streaks play the Wilson Memorial Green Hornets (Fishersville, VA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 9. Harrisonburg will attempt to upgrade on its 2-18 season record. The Green Hornets go into the bout with a 14-6 record after their 42-37 league win over Riverheads (Staunton, VA).
