St. Cecilia Academy Scarabs (Nashville, TN) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Merrol Hyde Magnet Hawks (Hendersonville, TN), 40-34 in a non-league bout.

With the win, St. Cecilia Academy upgrades its record to 6-15 on the season. The Scarabs host Christ Presbyterian Academy (Nashville, TN) to confront the Lions in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, February 7. The Lions come into the challenge with a record of 13-8. Christ Presbyterian Academy won 49-37 in their recent league challenge against Lipscomb Academy (Nashville, TN)

Next up, the Hawks confront the Valor College Prep Wildcats (Nashville, TN) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, February 9. Merrol Hyde Magnet will attempt to improve on its 11-13 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 10-12 record after their 56-42 league loss to Hillwood (Nashville, TN).
