In Monday's league outing, the Philomath Warriors (Philomath, OR) basketball squad beat the visiting Newport Cubs (Newport, OR), by a margin of 41-28.
The Warriors (11-6) will now prepare for their outing against North Marion (Aurora, OR). The Huskies go into the 4A Oregon West outing with a 5-15 record. In their last outing, North Marion was beaten by Stayton (Stayton, OR), 44-19, in a league outing.
The Cubs now own a 10-9 record. They play next when they host Sweet Home for a 4A Oregon West outing on Thursday, February 9. Newport will clash with a Huskies squad coming off a 73-28 league loss to Cascade (Turner, OR). The Huskies record now stands at 4-14.
