In Monday's league outing, the Wethersfield Flying Geese (Kewanee, IL) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] Spartans (Woodhull, IL), by a margin of 55-25.

The Flying Geese (18-11) will now prepare for their outing against Princeville (Princeville, IL). The Princes go into the Lincoln Trail outing with a 21-9 record. In their last outing, Princeville was trounced by Annawan (Annawan, IL), 61-48, in a league outing.

The Spartans now own a 8-20 record. They play next when they travel to Biggsville West Central for a Lincoln Trail outing on Wednesday, February 8. Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] will clash with a Heat squad coming off a 60-52 league loss to ROWVA/Williamsfield (Oneida, IL). The Heat record now stands at 16-13.
