Oakmont Vikings (Roseville, CA) fans were pleased Monday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Nevada Union Miners (Grass Valley, CA), 1-0 in a league challenge.

Next, the Vikings confront the Placer Hillmen (Auburn, CA) in a challenge, on Wednesday, February 8. Oakmont will attempt to better on its 4-6 season record. The Hillmen enter the challenge with a 7-6 record after their 1-0 league loss to West Park (Roseville, CA).

The Miners now have a 3-10 record. They take the field next when they travel to Union Mine for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, February 7. Nevada Union will confront a Diamondbacks team coming off a 1-1 league Galt (Galt, CA). The Diamondbacks record now stands at 1-7.
