Mitchell Kernels (Mitchell, SD) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Aberdeen Central Golden Eagles (Aberdeen, SD), 68-56 in a league bout.

With the victory, Mitchell upgrades its record to 14-1 on the campaign. The Kernels travel to Washington (Sioux Falls, SD) to play the Warriors in a AA bout on Tuesday, February 13. The Warriors come into the bout with a record of 11-6. Washington lost 70-43 in their recent league battle against O'Gorman (Sioux Falls, SD)

The Golden Eagles (7-9) will now prepare for their battle against Huron (Huron, SD). The Tigers come into the AA battle with a 10-6 record. In their last battle, Huron beat Riggs (Pierre, SD), 50-46, in a league battle.
