Scott County Central Braves (Sikeston, MO) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Advance Hornets (Advance, MO), 62-49 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Scott County Central upgrades its record to 9-12 on the season. The Braves travel to Leopold (Leopold, MO) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Wednesday, February 7. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 7-8. Leopold won 55-53 in their recent league bout against Meadow Heights (Patton, MO)

Next up, the Hornets play the Zalma Bulldogs (Zalma, MO) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 9. Advance will attempt to upgrade on its 1-16 season record.
