Clinton Dragons (Clinton, TN) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Anderson County Mavericks (Clinton, TN), 61-48 in a league bout.

With the victory, Clinton upgrades its record to 10-10 on the campaign. The Dragons travel to Meigs County (Decatur, TN) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Friday, February 9. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 2-16. Meigs County lost 66-64 in their recent non-league bout against Bledsoe County (Pikeville, TN)

Next up, the Mavericks play the Northview Academy Cougars (Kodak, TN) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 8. Anderson County will attempt to upgrade on its 14-9 season record.
